The Summit!

It is probably residual New Year's excitement, but I was very pleased with myself for agreeing to hike Camelback Mountain with my friends yesterday. I haven't been very active lately (does eating Christmas cookies count as exercise?) so I was winded probably 200 ft into the climb, (hehe), but eventually made it to the top, runny nose and all! This picture is not from the top because it was already starting to get dark when we reached the peak and my camera's phone is kinda lame... Anyway, I love trying new things and although I am sore and my stride is reminiscent of Frankenstein today it was worth it!!!

Here is one check off my New Year's Resolutions list, only a couple hundred more to go ;)
How is your New Year starting off? Are you still pumped to make changes? Or did you throw away the list?

  1. What an amazing way to start the new year! And yes, I think we can count eating cookies as activity cause if we can't then I am royally screwed! haha. Hope you had a fab new year. xo

  4. Wow, that's a great pic from a phone (mine's ancient though, so I'm easily impressed, lol). I always thought it'd be cool to go hiking sometime (not too extreme, just for a good workout) but there's no hills or mountains by me..

  5. @Frankie: I think cookie eating can be classified as a "jaw-strengthening routine" right?
@Emily: There are two sides to Camelback, the hard and the easy...we accidentally went up the hard side! I am still a little sore, but it was worth it!
