'Net Savvy

I am not much of an online shopper. Maybe I am not with the times, but I like to interact with an item (what does the fabric feel like? does it drape? what is the "real" color?) before I buy it. There are some online shops with fun inventory that have inspired me to consider the internet as a viable mall/boutique alternative. And online shopping from smaller stores also ensures that I will not be wearing the exact same thing as everyone else! This week, the Spotted Moth caught my attention. Cargo Update!

Being a late adopter of the skinny cargo trend (mentioned here) paid off! I got my Sanctuary skinny cargo pants in the mail last week before my final wedding season jaunt and they were perfect! Great for the plane ride with flats and perfect with wedges for dinner, I wore them constantly (and am wearing them now, which makes them great computer pants, too!). Check them out at nordstrom.com --best part? They are on sale! Get a pair asap!

Holy Hiatus!

It has been WAY too long since my last post, but life has been crazy with work and "wedding season" as I call it. I am back at home now and ignoring the mountain of laundry (it will be there tomorrow, don't worry) with a stack of Sept issues. I am revisiting some of my favorites (Harper's Bazaar was full of stuff I swear I need!) and getting into that fall frame of mind. BUT, it is still 100+ degrees here, so I will have to wait to bust out my boots and scarves for a bit longer. There are a few things that make the warm weather more enjoyable, like this pin from JCrew. This is my favorite color (it will go with my aqua and chartreuse cardis perfectly) but there are others and -delighted gasp!- they are on sale right now.... time to go shopping, more posts soon!
