I don't know why, but I have been keen on picking up a chunky, plastic-link chain necklace. Something about them is very retro, but very right, for a modern statement necklace. I have seen retro versions made with bright colors, but I am stuck on a tortoise shell pattern. The only problem I am having with this idea is
finding the necklace. I have been scouring the web and although I am not ready to make the commitment to purchase yet, I did find some good possibilities....
I like this one a lot, but I want the necklace to be more like my peanut butter: chunky!

This one is cool- not tortoise- but the brass material is interesting:

This one isn't tortoise either, but I like the semi-translucent, smoky colors:

Why is my favorite the most expensive? Because that's life ;)

What do you think, should this style be best left in the past? Have you ever been on the hunt for an item you loved?
I have been recently but did not have any luck in finding the right pair faux-leather over the knees boots. I do not think that I am following you on Twitter. About to do that right now.
ReplyDeleteThank you sweatheart for your comments. They mean a lot to me.

ReplyDeletei think it can definitely be made to look more modern!:)
ReplyDeletei think they're nice - but for a more modern twist don't go for tortoise - go for a gold or silver metal or brass one like the second picture - it will go with a lot more too. i llove gold ones and have two!! :) x
